As with many people in this business, my interest in tattooing started when I got my first tattoo. I went to my local studio where I instantly developed a passion for the art.
As apprenticeships are hard to come by, my basic learning came from hanging around this local studio and learning all I could about the history, the process and, most importantly, the potential to create amazing art-work using the most natural canvas nature can produce - the skin.
I spent all my time, when not working, under the tattooist's feet, doing any kind of gopher work going to get as much experience as possible. He eventually agreed to train me and proceeded to teach me all I needed to know to get started as a tattooist.
My first piece of work was done on my own leg.
